Welcome to Mum's Views
Hello and welcome! This site has been set-up specifically to help new mums and mums-to-be. The mums views and top10s tabs will give you information that will help you make important decisions to change your and your baby's lives for the better.
Our aim is to show you what other mums think about every area of interest relating to you and your baby. We know that whatever life experiences you've had in the past, nothing prepares you for being a mum. We also know that wherever you're from, you want only the best for your new baby. You will know that being pregnant, your birth experience and having a young baby are some of the most rewarding and challenging times in your life. These are also the times when you may feel that you need more information and help from people you trust; and who better to help you than other mums.
Some people sail through pregnancy; others feel that every day is a struggle. Some babies never cry whilst others won't let you have two hours sleep. Wouldn't it be great if you could know how other mums have really felt and benefit from their experiences.
Well, that's what we aim to do. Within this site you'll find simple information on a range of topics. Questions you may have, like:
- How long is the average labour?
- How many times a night does the average mum feed a young baby?
- How long after birth does the average mum wait until having sex again?
- How many new mums suffer with post-natal depression and where is the best place to go for help?
are all answered in the "Mums Views" area. Additionally, we have put together a list of 'Top 10s' on a range of subjects, such as:
- What is the most helpful pregnancy book?
- What are new mums' "Top 10 worries"?
If any of the information we provide allows you to do just one thing to improve your or your baby's lives, then that will have made this site worthwhile. Please let us know if any particular piece of information has helped you by e-mailing us at ideas@mumsviews.com.
Click the 'Mums Views' tab to see a full list of subject areas or to use the search facility to search by keyword. In the 'Mums Views' page information is presented in two ways. You can either find views relating to your stage of pregnancy or the age of your child OR you can search through our range of topic areas.
All our mums' views have been compiled from a dedicated panel of mums who are pregnant or have young children. Surveys are compiled by a specialist team of market researchers (Mum'sViews Ltd). We are completely independent and, therefore, do not endorse any particular company, product or viewpoint. Use of this site is free.
